I finally made it to the gorgeous Dermalogica store on Montana Avenue. Wow, I felt sparkly clean just walking in there. This 'concept' store -is very crisp and modern with lots of rounded edges. Swiss clinic meets space-age meets femme curves. Nicely done.
The estheticians are all highly knowledgeable as they are trained at the amazing International Dermal Institute –The Dermalogica Academy. Michelle Blaugrund who worked on me was incredible. There is nothing that makes me happier than someone working on my face who knows their shizznit. And she did and then some.
The facial was simple, soothing and lovely. I'd say a solid monthly facial perfect for in between something deeper and more rigorous.
…super comfy room and table…love the changing colored lights that were going off on one wall… rounded pod like room…very cozy and womb-like…can you say reeelllaaaxxx?
It was a super-hard-core work-out-for-the-skin-facial where you're stripped, dermabrasioned and peeled. No acids or chemicals here. It's the kind of facial where you could easily go out that night and right after with no need for recovery time from any major deep facial procedure. It would make a great monthly upkeep facial or gift for someone. The price is certainly right for either – just $85 for 60 minutes….
You can add on a microZone (see below) for $25 (adds 20 minutes) for a little deeper skin fix.
